Which Operating Systems Are Supported by ViceVersa?

ViceVersa PRO supports:

Windows 11 (All editions. 64-bit*) - ViceVersa PRO 4 or newer
Windows 10 (All editions. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows 8.1 (All editions. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows 8 (All editions. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows 7 (All editions. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows Vista (All editions. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows XP (32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows Server 2022 (All editions, 64-bit*) - ViceVersa PRO 4 or newer
Windows Server 2019 (All editions, 64-bit*)
Windows Server 2016 (All editions, 64-bit*)
Windows Server 2012 (All editions, including R2. 64-bit*)
Windows Server 2008 (All editions, including R2. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows Server 2003 (All editions, including R2. 32-bit and 64-bit*)
Windows Small Business Server and Small Business Server 2011 (32-bit and 64-bit*)

For other operating systems such as Unix, Linux or Netware, as long as the machines running these platforms are visible to the Windows machine, ViceVersa PRO can synchronize and replicate files.

ViceVersa PRO must run on one of the supported operating systems listed above.

Is xp64 bit supported?

Example:

Laptop running Xp home 32bit
Workstation running XP Pro 64 bit

Will it be possible to synchronize between the to OS ?

I tested ViveVersa under Wine (Win Emulator) and Linux and it "almost" worked. It would be nice if tgrmn put just a little effort in that.

ViceVersa is the best synchronizer of all, and I miss it too much. In fact it is the *only* Windows program that I miss in Linux.

Yes, we tested ViceVersa PRO and VVEngine on Windows Server 2008 and found that they work fine. No issues were found.

Windows Small Business Server 2008 is supported (all Windows Server 2008 and 2003 editions are supported).
The hard drives do not need to be of the same size.

Yes, no problem: you can sync files between all Windows operative systems, 32-bit or 64-bit.

ViceVersa does not run on Linux, but it can copy files to/from a Linux system from Windows.

Is Windows XP 64bit still supported by Version 2.5 and 3.0?
On the download side XP is listed only at 32bit version.
In FAQ 64bit list XP 64bit is also listed.

Does ViceVersa require an AD service account to run as?

When you setup ViceVersa to run as a Service, using the VVEngine, you can setup the service to run under any account. It is recommended to setup a dedicated service account for the VVEngine.
