I've also got a 4GB SanDisk USB drive (Cruzer Mini) and the same problem. When I checked with SanDisk support it also turned out to be a fake SanDisk USB memory.

Graciaas a un amigo, formatee la memoria flash sony de 4GB con el sistema de archivos FAT y todo funciona bien, al parecer fromateando con XP SP2 y FAT32 hay problemas. Debes formatear con FAT.

Suerte.

I am also experiencing the same issue with Transcend JetFlash 8GB Flash Drive. It's creating the folders by name 00000000.000 and each folder size is nearly 72MB.

I too had problem with 4GB pendrive having 00000000.000 folder name created in any folder. After long research, I found a solution for this.
Plug the pendrive into Windows7 OS system -> go to my computer -> click Manage->Click Disk Management -> select the removable disk drive -> and format the drive thru exFat file system.
Thats it ur problem is solved now create or copy as many as folder in pen drive and check.
This exFAT file system can be installed in XP also.

Thanks Laughing Idea

I bought a micro SD chip with reader from BUY.com which turned out to be counterfeit when I contacted Kingston. The chip was dead too late to return it to th vendor, and Kingston would not take it. Be careful about buying anything from BUY.com. The packaging, sealed in plastic, looks 100 percent authentic. Buyer beware.
