My backups the forever because it tries to over write files that probably don't need it, and I get a slew of errors stating that attributes can't be changed. I tried to attach a picture, but couldn't figure it out, but here's an image:

Thanks!

I see all the errors. What type of drive/device is the target?

The source is a QNAP NAS and the target is a WD external USB HDD.
It seems to think there're attributes mismatches everywhere, so it backs up everything, not just changed files.
Thanks,

Hi, it says it can't change file attribute or timestamp wile copying files, so they will mismatch. Maybe try running ViceVersa as full admin as a test? _________________ --

I may try that. The account I use has admin permissions, and I don't think I've ever used the admin login, so I'm not sure how to go about it. But I'll look into it.
When I backup the same files to any other drive (NAS or HDD), I don't have this problem, if that's pertinent. |

Just wondering if turning ON
'Do not copy file/folder data streams'
in
'Additional Settings' / 'More Settings'
might help ?
I seem to remember a lot of unexpected errors with a copy job, and this seemed to cancel them. |

| I've now tried all of the suggested solutions, but without luck. Those error messages get generated for all 200,000 files I'm backing up from a NAS to a USB HD. Really slows things down. |
