have i configured my servers properly for file synchronization?

i have 2 load balanced windows servers for a website. while most of the data is in the 1 database, some files may be written to the server. i created a job which attempts to synchronize server1/directory1 with server2/directory1 with 4 such mappings for various folders. synchronization occurs on change.

do i need such a configuration on both servers? ie one described above and another going the opposite direction? or is the one defined on server1 sufficient? i would think not, but thought i received in answer in the past indicating that the one profile on the one server was sufficient.

the problem is that if a file is written to server2, then it would not be known until server1 runs its job. in that case, i am not sure if the file on server2 would be seen as something to delete, or to copy back to server1.

i think i found the answer. vv engine has a file monitoring option for monitoring source and target. i selected both, so i should have what i need for real-time bidirectional synchronization.

Hi , please see additional details here:

https://www.tgrmn.com/web/kb/item108.htm

You can setup Real-Time Synchronization installing on one side or both sides.
You also might want to switch the option "Skip in-use files" in the profile settings, then the files will be sync'ed next run if open.
