ViceVersa Pro does not finish comparision.

A profile I have used for years suddenly stopped working today. All my other profiles still work. And when I recreated the profile that stopped working from scratch, it also did not work.

It's a simple backup profile. The settings are shown below. There are a lot of differences between the directories because the source does not contain metadata and the target directory does. This is the first time I have ever had a problem like this.

What happens is the profile runs until the log shows

2023-07-30 19:15:09 : Comparing ...
2023-07-30 19:15:09 : Comparing done.

And then nothing further seems to happen. Normally the results are returned almost immediately when that happens. But now it just shows the comparing source and target dialog box. Elapsed time does not move. One CPU thread continues to show between 7 and 20. But I have let it run and nothing further happens.

Pressing the cancel button greys it out but does not stop the process. Viceversa has to be manually halted via the task manager.

What would cause this?

Profile Settings

Folders
- Source: "\\?\K:\Movies\"
- Target: "\\?\UNC\HTPC-PC\Movies\"
- Include Subfolders: Yes
- Exclude files: "*.jpg"
- Exclude files: "*.nfo"
- Exclude files: "*.png"
- Exclude files: "*.xml"
- Exclude files: "*.jpg"
- Exclude files: "Thumbs.db"
Comparison
- Comparison Type: Size and Timestamp
Execution
- Method: Backup (Mirror Source to Target)
- Log File: "C:\ProgramData\ViceVersa PRO\log-movies.log"
- No archive for deleted/replaced source files
- No archive for deleted/replaced target files
- Replace newer target files with older source files (backup only)

Hi, thank you for posting on ViceVersa forum.

Could you sends this file to support via e-mail:

C:\ProgramData\ViceVersa PRO\log-movies.log

It's the profile log which should contain all details
