Does Smart archiving save beyond 1 year? Does it continue with 1 file per month indefinitely? I ask because I am trying to solve the mystery of lost older archive files.

Hi, it should continue with 1 file per month indefinitely... unless there are other limits that were sets in the Archive settings, like max copies etc.
