I discover with some uneasiness the new price of the V5 of Viceversa. For subscribers of previous versions, the increase has been 20% in relation to the previous year, if I'm not mistaken, for individual users. It's too much. I will continue with V4 which is more than enough for me. |

Hi, we had to increase some of the prices for the ViceVersa PRO desktop license this year... we never increased the desktop prices since back in 2005, and this year it is the first time we did increase the price for the single desktop version license since then. The new version 5 now includes Scan Acceleration which I think will be value for money when working with NTFS drives, especially HDD, and a much much improved Multithreaded Scanning, which increases performance over the network significantly. _________________ --

For me VV is not expensive, we paid around 50 (GBP) for a v.5 client upgrade from v.4.
We use VV multiple times a day, so its good value and overall has an excellent feature set.
Last year there was a 20% Black Friday discount at v.4 release, so that helped too price-wise at that time, but could affect the view of this years asking price....a little maybe ?
If honest, i didn't expect too much from the Scan Acceleration with the client install but it is clearly faster than older versions ('near instant' for some of our copies) so that is a welcome and worthwhile addition
Final comment and a repetitive plea.....
'we're about to enter 2023 and VV realistically does not support Cloud copies (SharePoint / OneDrive / Teams..... in our case), so that's a big gap in its capabilities and one we are hoping is addressed in the coming year.'
