I found that when copying just a folder from one location to another, viceversa does not preserve a folder's original date modified and date accessed timestamps. Before, it used to copy everything, so why is there a change now ?

I'm basically copying a subfolder within a parent folder within the desktop inside another parent folder that is also on the desktop

what is even stranger is that when using safecopy from elwinsoft, their software preserves all 3 dates and timestamps of folders and as well as files. Please run a test on viceversa to copy one folder to a new location, you will see the date modified OR date accessed will change. I think this bug requires a software update. Hope to hear from someone soon about this issue.

Hi,

there is an option for that in ViceVersa, did you enable it already?

Retain folder created and modified timestamps when copying: When this option is enabled, ViceVersa will copy and preserve folder timestamps (i.e. the folder created and modified time and date) when copying folders.

also :

Preserve last accessed timestamp of files being copied: When this option is enabled, ViceVersa will preserve the last accessed timestamp of files being copied, if last accessed timestamps are enabled in Windows. It will also preserve (it will not change) the last accessed timestamp of files when CRC or SHA comparison or verification is performed by ViceVersa.

thanks

I have enabled both of those options but now only date accessed of folders isn't being preserved. Date created and date modified is.
