I have a profile that backs up nightly to a network drive (access using UNC). This worked fine for months until mid-August when it stopped working. Showing a "Folder not accessible" message.

This profile works fine if run directly from ViceVersa Pro, but fails when scheduled in VVEngine or trying to manually run it in VVEngine with Run Profile.

Rebooting my system and running it manually from VVEngine (using Run Profile) works, but only 1 time. It still won't run the scheduled task or work via Run Profile after the first time.

Using VVEngine v2.2 (Build 2210) and ViceVersa PRO 3.0 Build 3003 64-Bit

Hi, the issue is likely due to the fact that VVEngine runs as "full admin" elevated, while ViceVersa does not by default.
Did you already enter the authentication details for the UNC path, in the ViceVersa profile settings, under profile settings -> folders -> network? If not I think that might be the issue.
Also, check under which account the VVEngine is running.

Hi, I have tried to set the user credentials in the profile (using the second option, "Connect using the following credentials"). I use the same UNC path and user. When I test the connection it says:
"[XXXXX] is not accessible using the credentials entered. Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all pervious connections to the server or shared resource and try again."

Looking in Task Manager, it appears both VVEngine and ViceVersa are running as the same user.

Thanks

Hi, yes, they both run under the same user but VVEngine runs with higher privileges, so network connections might need to be re-established.

Try entering the credentials in profile settings -> folders -> network and save the profile then see if it works correctly in VVEngine.

There is also the option to add EnableLinkedConnections in the Windows Registry:

I currently have the "Connect using default credentials" checked. If I check the "Connect using the following credentials" it prompts for login to the drive and then says the drive is not accessible.
Note that when running directly from VVPro, neither of these credentials are set. If I save VVEngine with no credentials, it also says it is not accessible.
