ViceVera Keeps Stopping

For some reason VicVersa keeps stopping. I could manually restart it, but now it won't even do that. I read on an old threat that the profile file is the cause. Would setting up a new profile help? Is there a patch that fixes the issue? I am using and external drive for backing up. It is plugged in before I start the laptop so it should not be a problem. Please can someone help?
