I accidentally allowed a bunch of files to be deleted in the target folder because I mirrored the folder, rather than enhancing it. Fortunately, I managed to cancel before too much damage was done. However, it seems I had the move-deleted-files-to-recycle-bin feature check marked, but for some reason, those files did not appear in the recycle bin. Perhaps it wasn't checked. Is there a purgatory for files that are deleted, but not placed in the recycle bin? I checked the log, but apparently there was no log file set up for the profile, so no help there either. Guess I'll read the instructions a little more carefully next time.

Thanks,

jammon

Hello - if the files are on the network they will not go in the local recycle bin. That's maybe why you are not seeing them. In the ViceVersa comparison window you can click on Preview before execution, the preview window will show you which files will be deleted, added, updated, etc.

In this case, there was no network. target and source were just different drives within the same computer enclosure.

Then, unless the option 'Send deleted files to the Recycle Bin' was not active (it is active by default and it is in the ViceVersa 'Preferences'), the deleted files should be in the Recycle Bin. You can test this by deleting a file with Windows Explorer and then check the Recycle Bin. Note that ViceVersa relies on Windows to move files to the Recycle Bin.
