We have tried to copy NTFS security attributes in files and folders, but it seems it doesn't work?

situation:
1) We backed up source to target, but not copied NTFS security attributes at the time.
2) Hence, we just want to re-align NTFS security attributes not copy files and folders again because those are huge amount of files.

If you have version 3 there is an option for this in the profile settings :

Recheck file / folder security during comparison: Since Version 3, this is a new option to re-check and re-align the selected security attributes above for all files and folders in source and target. This means that the selected security attributes for files and folders will be re-checked during comparison and will be re-adjusted during the profile execution, not only for files and folders that are copied but also for files and folders that are already both in source and in target. Comparison and scanning will be slower if this option is enabled.

Do not stop on file/folder security check error: This option instructs ViceVersa not to stop and abort comparison if security can not be read from a file or folder.
