I need to backup all my User folders (Desktop, Download, Documents, Music, Pictures) to an external USB drive so I can reset or restore my new laptop to original factory settings and then copy the User folder content back to the same folders in a different folder structure on the same laptop. I screwed up a new laptop when I moved all the User folders to an external USB drive D:\ from their C:\ Users\User Name location. Now I need to start over by resetting the User folders back to their original C:\Users\User Name file/folder structure and then copy their contents back into them.

How do I do this most simply and expeditiously?
