I have a multisite profile running that compares all the targets and source just fine and runs through the preliminaries just fine (here is the log entry):

2006-03-13 05:00:11 : Checking source \\Cad-clerical\Clerical\ELECTRONIC BULLETIN BOARD\Daily_Bulletin\ ...
2006-03-13 05:00:11 : Checking target \\bulletinboard\bulletin_bethlehem\daily_bulletin\ ...
2006-03-13 05:00:11 : Comparing ...
2006-03-13 05:00:11 : Comparing done.

But when it goes to do the write operation on one of the target directories it errors out woith a network error(again from the log):

2006-03-13 05:00:13 : Copying file \\Cad-clerical\Clerical\ELECTRONIC BULLETIN BOARD\Daily_Bulletin\Tuesday Bulletin.ppt <to> \\bulletinboard\bulletin_bethlehem\daily_bulletin\Tuesday Bulletin.ppt (36.21MB) [Can not write data. The specified network name is no longer available.] [ERROR].

What gives here? Is this a timeout issue? Is there anything configurable in VV to avert this? I'm using VVPro2 v 2.0.0.9

Hello

this semms like a network issue... the error message is from Windows. Maybe try Google for "The specified network name is no longer available".
Does it also happen using Windows Explorer or only with ViceVersa?

Forgot to mention: did you try some of the performance/bandwidth parms in the ViceVersa profile settings? Specifically I would try "Flush buffer every write...".
Also you may want to try the new build 2010, see http://www.tgrmn.com/web/forum/viewtopict488.htm

Thanks for the quick reply. I can connect to that particular file no problem any number of ways, even within ViceVersa when I do a compare. It's only when I do the execute that it errors. I thought about adjusting the bandwidth/performance values, but wanted to see what replies I got on the forum first. I wiull try that and the upgrade and report back.
