This is the task:

I have a storage unit with 14 HDD on 60 GBite each. Only 13 will contain data since one is spare.
That gives about 760 Gbite of data.

The 13 HDD will be connected to a large pc with 15 fire wire connectors. The 2 other connectors are plugged into 2 lacie 1Tbite HDD.

This data must be mirrored to the 2 lacie 1Tbite HDD. One for post and one for local backup.

To save time the copy must be a one read two write procedure.

Also the setup is always a bit different. The 13 small HDD and the 2 lacie are mounted as E to S, but the location of the target disk may change.

Can the VisaVersaPRO handle the one read two write procedure and maybe even a simulations write. And can the project be set up in a text file where it is easy to correct the mount letters for each time, if they change. The data structure is always the same.

Kind Regard

Tue Kyndal

I hade som test data that i copied to lacie nr one.

then I tested visaversapro with a copy ot both lacie 1 and 2..and g...it tok twice the time. ;o(

So whats the point. There are no read once and write to all locations build into the software. So for my purpose its useless.

VV can not handle one read two write's. This is a great idea for future releases.
