The more basic function that a backup/sync software has to do is to be sure that the pieces of data (folders, files) that are put in the target have to be equal to the source. I'm sure that the programmers of ViceVersa understand that the folder attributes/timestamps are also part of the folder characteristics. So, the folders that the software copies to the target device must have the same attributes/timestamps of the folders in the source.

I have tested copying folders from source to destination as well and seems like vice versa doesn’t want to copy the date modified to the destination. Somehow it always reverts to the current time of copying.

Hi, the option is:

Retain folder created and modified timestamps when copying: When this option is enabled, ViceVersa will copy and preserve folder timestamps (i.e. the folder created and modified time and date) when copying folders.

It's in ViceVersa profile settings -> advanced settings -> more settings

It does not work even with this option enabled?

I'm currently evaluating version 6 (with Windows 11) and I'm having the same problem with folder date/timestamps not being cloned. I've searched Profile Settings from top to bottom, and there's nothing to change this. The Advanced Settings>More Settings doesn't have any options for folder date/timestamp settings, but it does have an option for "Last Accessed" date/timestamp, which was also needed. The folder date/timestamp is critical for me, and without it I don't believe Vice Versa would be any different than copying with windows. Older versions of VV have no problem handling them. PLEASE HELP!
