Hello,

Currently evaluating VVPro; we have 2 Windows 2003 servers in the same Windows 2003 domain with NTFS partitions. Both are located on the same LAN.

I would like a simple synchronisation whereby the VVLauncher installed on the first server will synchronise files from a share on the second server as follows:
Source: \\server2\user profiles
Target: D:\user profiles

Both Source and Target folders have the same NTFS permissions.

The VVLauncher service runs with an account that is a member of both the Domain Admins and Backup Operators groups.

The VVLauncher will only synchronise those folders from the second server to which it has NTFS access. The Domain Admins account does not have access to each user's profile folder, hence I guess the failure of the sync.

However, I believe that if the VVLauncher service account is a member of the Backup Operators group, it should have been able to access those files\folders for which it has no explicit NTFS permission. Is this correct?

Thanks
