I just bought a laptop and I'd like to synch most of my documents & settings on my desktop and on my laptop. I bought a USB data transfer cable to connect the two computers, but ViceVersa doesn't show the laptop as a target. The laptop is on and connected by the cable (and I know the cable works, because it came with some software for transferring files, and that works just fine), and I turned off the firewall on the laptop. Any ideas how I can get Vice Versa to see the laptop?

First you will need to connect the two computers, then you can use ViceVersa to sync your files.
