path name with too many characters & comparison feature

hello,
1. could you implement a feature, which automatically shortens the FILENAME of a file in a path with more than 259 characters, if that is enough for making copying of that file possible?
means - if the name of a file itself is long enough for getting an amount of less than 259 characters !

that would be perfect!

2. could you implemet a variable time difference for ignoring (not only 1hour difference) in the comparison-menue?
