mask the file names

a valuable feature especially when more and more people are backing up online (Carbonite, Mozy), or via VPN, would be the ability to mask the file names.

I currently use Viceversa to backupfiles to an external hard drive. I encrypt and compress the files. I then back up the external hard drive to Mozy.

Although the files are encrypted and password-protected, the file names are still visible.

There are some products such as Crashplan, which allow you to backup to another person's computer, but there is some sort of numerical system for file names, so it is impossible to know anything about the file.

Adding that feature, would increase the security of ViceVersa

Yes, I think this feature would be quite useful. Scrambling the name would increase security when storing files online.
