We currently have salesmen laptops connected via peer to peer to our network. We run a NAS server, on a windows 2003 server network, with a public folder that everyone has access to keep files. We are wanting to be able to have the salesmen connect to our network and have the viceversa software be able to backup there data to our public folder. When we currently do this, the log file indicates the access is denied. We have tried to connect via ip address and by computer name with no luck. We are currently running version 1.3.1. Is this fixed in version 2.0? Has anyone run into this problem using this software and if so, is there any fix for this problem. We don't want to add our laptop users to our domain if at all possible.

Trying ViceVersa 2.0 could help as we have changed a part of the copy algorithm that accesses the network. In general it needs to be established via VV can not access the folder. Can Windows Explorer access the folder and copy/delete files? What are the file/folder privileges on the public folder?
