Hi there,

I would like to have the capability of having multiple projects - with separate settings - in the VVLauncher.

This is not an alternative/variation to my previous wishlist item of multiple destinations for one source in same project (I see that one as being more efficient as it potentially could be 1 read->2 writes).

This - multiple projects in VVLauncher - is about automation and distribution of workload. For instance...
I have my "My Documents" backed up every 360 minutes. Changes: minor to medium. Time to execute/run: around 10 minutes.
THEN I have my Outlook PST files, in a different project, where my working PST file is approx. 1.5GB. Run every: 12h. Time to backup: around 30min.

I would like to have both in VVLauncher - with individual seetings to ensure that I get all my backups in place.

I guess I could use the Scheduler, but then what is the purpose of the Launcher?? Smile

Hello,

It could be a great future in a next version, to implement like "vitus" has said, a possiblity to manage several projects, in the VVLauncher.

Yes, the next release of VVLauncher will have that capability.

Not yet, but we plan to add this in one of the future releases.

hi

does vv launcher have this capability yet? i understand that you can specify multiple sources/targets in a profile, but the problem is that i need different execution methods for different sources/targets, and you can only have one execution method per profile.

VV p2 is the most "can't live without software" since email in my book.

I love it, told everyone about it, can't say enough good things.

This is the ONLY feature we still need.

We like to run this on our laptops. 2 way sync, as soon as changes are detected. People lag, or whatever, but not to worry, we've got all our files. No time lost at all (not sure if this is a blessing or a curse sometimes). Get back, connect to the lan, give it 20 min and the same profile pushes all the updated files. 20 min is just comparison (unless we edit those dang pst files, I love mozilla)

Only problem is we put all this stuff in one giant profile:
Email
Software projects
Web projects (psd's and all)
Pass db's
documents

If we can run all these at the same time in their own threads, well, I'd already kiss you for what VV is today, so you don't want to know Wink
