How would ViceVersa handle this?

Server A runs ViceVersa
Server B has a very important folder full of data files
Server C we want to mirror the folder from Server B

Every day at 5PM Server A mirrors the files from Server B to Server C

======

If one day Server B were to crash, would Server A;

1. Not seeing any files on Server B (or even the server) delete the files from Server C

Or

2 Not do anything, because it doesn’t see Server B

Hi,

Option 2.

There is the difference between "Target folder on Server B is empty" and "Target folder on Server B is not available / does not exist". In the first case, VV would think that all files have been deleted from Server B. In the second case VV does not proceed with synchronization. Note that actually also for the first case VV would not delete all files from Server C because there is a security mechanism that does not allow it. Lastly, you could use the VV archive feature to recover files that are deleted but should not have.
