Dear Team

I have tried to use VV with an IRiver H10 MP3 player (20GB version). Using XP Pro and a USB connection the H10 shows up in My Computer with the name iriver H10 20GC and device type Portable Media Device. the trouble is that VV cant find it. There is no problem transferring data to and from the player using drag and drop. Any Suggestions? Thanks.

With some devices you can drag and drop files within Windows Explorer but not from other programs. This because the device is not accessible as a real drive but is a 'simulated' drive in Windows Explorer.
Can you access the files outside Windows Explorer, eg open and save with Notepad, Paint etc? If negative, VV will also be unable to access the files. If positive, VV will be able to.

Many thanks for the reply. I have tried to save a file to the H10 from another programme and it is unable to see the H10. I guess the H10 is not going to be treated as a proper disk drive by the system.
Thanks again.

Andy
