Can't Access Target Drive

H, I have a registered version of ViceVersa, when I try to compare files to do a sync. I get the message “Error while reading target information”

I have tried the pro version on a trial basis and get "cannot access folder, folder excluded".

This drive is an external USB brand new drive with the drive letter of Y

I am able to access this drive from other programs, copy to and from. Its not the drive.

Windows XP Pro and I downloaded any of your software updates.
