Is there any way to do this....

So user deletes an empty folder on Source, which deletes on Destination via 'Backup (Mirror)' Profile….but presently this isn’t reflected in the Archive if enabled (I know the Archiving dialogue box within VV reads ‘Instead of deleting/overwriting Source/Target files, move them to : )’

Reason I'm asking is that staff are telling me folders that they have created….but are yet to work on (so are empty) are being deleted by someone (at Source) and then have to be painstakingly re-created.

Yes, that is correct Smile It would be helpful in the scenario I outlined above - 'Reason I'm asking is that staff are telling me folders that they have created….but are yet to work on (so are empty) are being deleted...'

Thanks, sorry for not understanding, but are these folders deleted by ViceVersa?

Well, VV deletes them on the 'Mirror copy' of the data in the Destination, yes. But staff are obviously mistakenly (or deliberately Exclamation) deleting the empty folders at the Source.

The way the 'human' process works is that an Admin member of staff in the Business sets up a folder structure every so often with work 'Job IDs' across a fortnight of dates. On a Monday she might create 20 'root' folders with different Job IDs, Tuesday same process but another 20 separate 'root' folders and so on across a fortnight period. The folders are empty because the staff that go off-site to service the jobs return and copy pictures they have taken, documents that have been signed and other similar items that relate to that 'Job ID' into the particular folder 'Job ID' thereby populating most the folders over time. If a 'Job ID' receives no action then the folder that relates to it remains empty....

I have a scheduled a VV Profile 'Backup (Mirror)' to copy this structure to another location as a form of 'quick recovery' if staff delete files or folders (ie folders with something in them), but VV Archiving does not archive an empty folder should it be deleted at Source while being 'mirror copied' to a Destination as far as I can tell.

Does that make sense Smile
