I am trying to "Backup" a folder on a server to another folder on the same server as the domain administrator. I turned on the Copy file/folder Owner option. When I run the backup I am getting this error

Can not copy Owner information to file "E:\Company\New folder\JS Test.txt". This security ID may not be assigned as the owner of this object

I can manually (Windows Explorer) copy the file and then set the owner without error.

Can anyone explain what's happening?

Have a look at the ViceVersa profile settings -> advanced settings ->details (second button from top). If you enabled copying owner information for files, this error might come up if not possible. By default this option is not enabled. thanks
