ViceVersa Pro 2.5 - Build 2518 - (64-bit) - Windows Server 2016

Hi,

I’ve been using the below syntax as the ‘Target’ in a VV Profile without incident for ages

Quote:
\\?\<Label:Sandisk>:\Myfiles\

as all my external disks have an NTFS Volume Label of ‘Sandisk’.

Now I have a new problem, I have inherited many more external disks with multiple but numerically sequential Volume Labels eg :

3TB-01
3TB-02
3TB-03

is there a way to use the ‘Label’ Folder Variable but to a part name

eg

3TB-0*

the Disks are manually mounted to a server, so it would be near impossible to mount two disks with similar Volume Labels at the same time, so data copying to the wrong Disk would be most unlikely.

Hi Alice, pattern matching for disk label or other folder variables, at the moment it's not supported. Sad
