I lost important e-mails when syncing

I was syncing outlook express on my two laptops. I lost a lot of e-mails. How do I undo the sync or retrieve the lost data?

Hello - if you deleted an outlook express e-mail file you may find it in the Recycle Bin.

I found the file. It is still in Outlook express. However, it seems that the registry was changed because I can no long view the folder with all of my e-mails. Any suggestions?

It may be that the default location for the Outlook Express e-mail files was changed in the registry and it is now pointing to a location with no e-mail files?
