Disabling the Recycle-Bin-option has solved the problem for me.
Thanks for support.

Placing \\?\ in front of the pathnames has not worked for me. I also tried the \\?\UNC\, and both times I received a message in the log that told me that the pathname could not be found.

Just to be sure, I am supposed to put them in the Source and Target pathnames like this: \\wallace-srv-1\Company Folder becomes \\?\UNC\\wallace-srv-1 Is that correct?

Hi, for UNC paths you will need to use

\\?\UNC\wallace-srv-1\Company folder\

thanks

Ahh, that did it.

Any word on when the archive is going to allow pathnames with 259+ characters?

Thanks!

Hi, after reading this forum, I been trying to fix the long path names error with build 2012.

I still get errors with the \\?\ hot fix

It looks like this error is caused by the target folder... try using \\?\F:\ for the target folder as well.

Yes, my source, target, archive do have \\?\F:\path or if it a network share on a server then \\?\UNC\server\share

Here is some log from yesterday 3 lines, 3 different error
The things is that, I can create the same folder and copy files where ViceVersa can not.

1- [Path with more than 259 characters. Can not create or replace "F:\... [ERROR].
2- [Can not create "F:\...... Containing folder could not be created.] [ERROR].
3- Containing folder could not be created. The filename or extension is too long.] [ERROR].

Hi,

I'm running build 2014 and copying long file names works fine in the ViceVersa GUI using \\?\E: or \\?\UNC\server\share

However, if I save my profile and try to run it in VVEngine 1.1, I get the message: Folder is not accessible: \\E:\

Any clues as to how to fix this?

Unfortunately VVengine does not handle \\?\ yet when monitoring folders in the profile schedule. It will be supported in the next release.

When will the new version be available?

In the meantime, what are my options? The profile with \\?\ won't even run in VVLauncher.

Thanks

I too am having the same issue with the VVEngine not finding the source/target when using the UNC.
Any estimates on the next release and fix?
Thanks.
