Target system crashes & reboots during file transfer

I have build 2.0.0.8. I have one PC (XP Pro) backing up files to another XP Pro PC. Using Replication - update target, each time I transfered files it crashed the target box at about 10MB of files being transfered. And stopped at exactly the same file.
I can manually transfer the entire directory (In fact over 5 GB), without crashing the system (using Windows copy & paste).
Where's the problem / what's the fix?

When I tried doing a Replication - Augment Target, I couldn't even get 2 files transfered - but the target system didn't crash. I came up with I think a permission denied issue. But I can transfer files via Windows copy/cut/paste without problems and no difficulty in accessing any of the files/directories.
