NTFS Perms

Hi,
I'm looking to use a software that will synch 800 GB of files from one server to another server on the network. I would also need the NTFS persm to be copied along with the synch.
Woud ViceVersa Pro be able to copy this amount of files to a network location and keep the NTFS Perms?

Hi, 800 GB is no problem, but note that:
- Each profile you setup in VV can handle approx 1 million files
- Source and Target needs to be part of the same domain and have the same file permissions to start with.

So, VV will not copy the files for me along with the perms? The files will have to first be copied over?

Hi, only the base source and target folders have to have the same permissions, not the files within (those will be copied by VV)

If c:\folderA and d:\folderB are source and target, then the folders c:\folderA and d:\folderB have to have the same permissions.
