Hi,
I'm running VV Build 2014.
The backup had been running fine for about two months and just the past two days ago, the backup won't run properly anymore.
When backing up, it goes through the profile check then starts comparing the sources and target and then attempts to check the database and stops there.

Here is what's in the logs (The "x" I put in):
2007-07-28 01:00:01 : Checking source C:\Program Files\Mercury Interactive\QTP Automation Files\ ...
2007-07-28 01:00:01 : Checking target \\10.50.x.xx\QA_Backup\Friday\Backup\QTP Automation Files\ ...
2007-07-28 01:00:08 : Comparing ...
2007-07-28 01:00:08 : Checking tracking database...
2007-07-28 01:12:06 : Comparing done.
2007-07-28 01:12:06 : Checking source C:\Program Files\Mercury Interactive\Quality Center\repository\ ...
2007-07-28 01:29:52 : Checking target \\10.50.x.xx\QA_Backup\Friday\Backup\Repository\ ...
2007-07-28 02:19:10 : Comparing ...
2007-07-28 02:30:05 : Checking tracking database...

In the VVScheduler, it says "Latest status: Execution completed with file copy/delete errors". Then it waits to run the job again as scheduled.

The database file is about: 558 MB and hasn't been updated since the start of this problem.

Also, the Logs, the database and the backup files are located on a NAS server.

This problem had occured before in the early stages of implementation but I deleted the tdb file and had VV recreate a new one and this is what happened.

Can someone please help me figure out why it is stuck at "Checking tracking database" and what I need to do to fix it?

thanks
joe

Hi, try resetting the tracking database (in the profile settings). Alternitavely switch off the tracking database, it is not needed for the backup method.
