Hi,

I'm backing up two locations to my second drive, one is on my C drive and one is a network UNC location.

VV does the local one first and then the network one.

The problem is when the networked location computer is turned off the whole thing fails following an error stating the network path does not exist.

What I want to happen is for VV to back the network path, and continue if it does not exist and backup the local path.

At the moment if the network path does not exist the local it fails and does backup the local path.

Is there a tickbox or something similar to ignore and continue if network paths cannot be found?

Hi

you can

- Separate the backup profiles into two profiles and then use VVEngine to run them

or

- Activate the option 'Continue even if some source/target folders are inaccessible', under profile settings->folders

thanks

It seems the option to continue even if some source / target folders are inaccessible does not work if a tracking database is used.

I'm using a tracking database - " The option 'continue if some source/target folders are inaccessible' can not be used in combination with a tracking database. See help file for more information."

Is there any work around this/

I can separate into two profiles - but how would I run both profiles from the scheduler?

Hi, the tracking database is only needed for the synchronization method, if you do not need to synchronize you can switch it off.
