Hi. I'm considering purchasing ViceVersa Pro, but have a question first.

We have a "cache" of laptops that are sent out with field personnel. They just ask for a laptop and get a random one that happens to be available.

Each laptop has a user profile for every field person, so they log on as themselves. Each person also has their own folder on the laptop where they keep all their stuff.

Each user also needs to synchronize their local personal files (on the latptop) with a server directory that contains their personal stuff.

We would like to allow each user to set up a job to either pull their personal files from their personal directory on the server when the are ready to go out in the field, or to push their personal files from the laptop to the server when they come back in from the field.

We would like this to happen on a per-user basis, so each user would have a particular backup job that specifies just their directory and no one else's.

Can ViceVersa Pro do that? That is, can EACH user on a machine have his own set of unique backup jobs that ONLY he can see and run?

Or could this just be done via some CMD line calls that the user has in his personal directory?

Thanks very much,
Ben A.

Yes, each user can have its own ViceVersa profile (.fsf file) which contains all the info for the backup. Do you need to schedule the job or will be run manually (e.g. from a shortcut?) thanks

Thanks very much! We would both schedule and have manual backup jobs.
