I have one source drive I want to backup. Let's call it D:
I switch out the destination removable drive every morning - one for ODD and one for EVEN numbered days. Both destinaion drives look like E: to the o/s.
All changes occur only on my source drive D: and I want to always synchoronize ONE-WAY to my destination E:. Changes on source drive D: that could occur are: 1) new files added, 2) old files deleted, 3) existing files modified.
What I want is for ViceVersa(pro) to check every 5 minutes to make certain that my destination E: is a exactly the same as my source drive D:
The complication might occur if ViceVersa is keeping a database, because there is a different phyiscal destination drive E: in the system every day.
What I am asking then is if ViceVersa can handle this situation - can it look IN REAL TIME at the contents of my single source drive, can it compare it to my alternating destination drives, and can it mirror ONE-WAY from my source to my current destination?
And if it can do this, can it do this efficiently in a large directory tree?

ViceVersa PRO requires a tracking database only for the synchronization method. Since you are doing a mirror of D:\ to E:\, a tracking database is not required (backup method, mirror source to target).
So no problem with switching the drive E:\ daily. Every time it runs ViceVersa PRO will check source and target and copy the files to E:\ as needed. _________________ --
