Hi, in general I am very satisfied with VV. At least it is one of the best prodcuts in this field.
But, sometimes I do not really understand the "exclude/include" policy of vv. Eg., I do not understand the explanation in your user help: It says:

This matches every folder with 'sub' in the name, e.g. the folder c:\test\subfolder\, the folder c:\test\Substitute\, c:\test\rest\reSubote\, etc. Note that this mask does not match the folder c:\test\subfolder\testingdata\. The mask does not contain a backslash "\" , meaning that it is only compared against the folder name of c:\test\subfolder\testingdata\,"testingdata", and "testingdata" does not contain the word "sub". |
But "sub" IS is part of the folderstring "c:\test\subfolder\testingdata\", and therefore it should match. I tried it out, and indeed it matched.
Is there something wrong with the example or is there something wrong with my understanding? |
